As part of our Policy, Strategy and Leadership team, you’ll provide strategic oversight, manage operations, and develop policies for all aspects of our National Special Functions practice.

As a Sector/Specialty/Platform Practice Director, you’ll serve as a strategic advisor to the Sector/Specialty/Platform leader. You will serve as a point of contact for the Sector/Specialty/Platform on practice management issues, in alignment with strategy.

  • Leading & executing specific initiatives & driving progress against related goals;

  • Working with a team to manage change management activities needed to enact the strategic vision & operational initiatives;

  • Overseeing tracking, managing & reporting on Sector/Specialty/Platform strategic initiatives, projects & operations;

  • Executing on key responsibilities to allow leaders to focus on market-facing & client-centric activities & overall strategic direction, while escalating matters that require leadership’s immediate attention;

  • Anticipating future needs of leaders & proactively addressing those needs;

  • Representing point of view of leaders in key projects, calls, meetings & decisions;

  • Organizing leadership team calls/meetings, including developing the agendas & advance preparation materials, facilitating calls & maintaining the action points, & following up on required actions with leadership team members & key enabler groups;

  • Overseeing research & tech-enabled data analysis to fulfill requests for information;

  • Facilitating consistent execution across Sectors/Specialty/Platforms;

  • Acting as key point of contact for team leaders;

  • Contributing to developing and implementing the strategic plan for the Sector/Specialty/Platform, inclusive of partnering with the other segment & across Sector/Specialty/Platforms;

  • Developing goals and scope of operational/implementation plans and following up on completion of key initiatives;

  • Championing activation of One Firm levers, working with Practice teams to drive adoption;

  • Working closely with Finance & Human Capital teams, other functional areas and other PDs, while working to ensure consistent execution across the Sector/Specialty/Platform;

  • Keeping internal initiatives moving/on track, offering suggestions for improvements, as needed and taking action to achieve desired outcomes;

  • Teaming with Change & Communications (and Market-Facing focused PD) on executing proposed communication cadence for Partner/MDs and staff communications, including webcasts, connectivity, and internal channels;

  • Building relationships & anticipating the needs & expectations of the business;

  • Interpreting, filtering and prioritizing requests & issues coming to the attention of the Sector/Specialty/Platform leaders;

  • Exercising independent discretion, confidentiality & judgment given the nature of the responsibilities;

  • Being a critical thinker with keen analytical skills that lead to practical solutions to drive desired outcomes against key business priorities;

  • Demonstrating time management organizational skills & ability to work in a fast-paced environment;

  • Managing projects to timely completion, while keeping stakeholders informed;

  • Working closely with leaders & function independently with leadership capabilities;

  • Showcasing project & change management skills; and,

  • Fostering a culture of teaming & collaboration.

The salary range for this position is: $122,500 - $495,500, plus individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications and location, and applicable employment laws.
