NRG is seeking an Sr. Director of Ethics and Compliance to join our team and lead the business compliance process for our Vivint business.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in data analysis, statistics, data presentation, building and evolving compliance programs, managing third-party risk, and working effectively across the Vivint business to ensure the implementation of effective internal controls that sufficiently address compliance risk. This position can be based in Lehi, Utah; Houston, Texas; or Princeton, New Jersey.

Primary responsibilities:

Data Analysis and Statistics

Interpreting business data, analyzing results, and using statistical techniques to support enhanced compliance across the business

  • Developing and implementing databases, data analytics, and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality

  • Acquiring data from primary or secondary data sources and maintaining databases/data systems

Managing control compliance through data, including KPIs and KRIs.

  • Identifying, analyzing, and interpreting trends or patterns in complex data sets

  • Working closely with business partners to prioritize business and information needs

  • Locating, defining and recommending new process improvement opportunities.

Compliance Program Management

Overseeing the maintenance of the compliance control architecture, including but not limited to, process narratives, control procedure documents, flowcharts, the compliance calendar, and the control matrix. Maintaining executive alignment that clearly highlights risks, remediation activities, and recommendations for compliance across the organization. Overseeing the alignment and implementation of policies with compliance controls. Overseeing and coordinating with the business on the identification, design, documentation, implementation, and remediation of new or enhanced compliance controls, based on risk. Assisting the Chief Ethics and Compliance Officer prepare for meetings with the Compliance Committee, Board of Directors, and Audit Committee.

Job Requirements (Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies)

  • BS in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management or Statistics

  • Proven working experience as a data analyst or business data analyst

  • Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets (Excel, SPSS, SAS etc.)

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy

  • Adept at queries, chart and graph building, report writing, and presenting findings to Executive Management

  • Experience managing teams and have the demonstrated ability to develop leaders within the team and enable growth opportunities

  • Have experience and be comfortable with interacting with business executives.

  • Excellent cross-functional and interpersonal skills

  • Understanding of operational processes and ability to identify and determine the impact of regulatory or new business initiatives on the compliance program

  • Experience designing, implementing, remediating, and testing controls.

  • Executive-level verbal and written communication skills, including effectively leading discussions and meetings.

  • Superior organizational skills.

  • Proficient technical skills, including audit, controls, business analysis, change management, IT and business risk management, performance metrics and reporting, technical problem resolution, project management, and vendor management.

    WORKING CONDITIONS:

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
