BASIC PURPOSE : Support Musket Trading and Business Development by analyzing complex data sets and creating robust data analytics. This role is designed to create and enhance tools intended to help make smart trading decisions and structure deals across different business lines including commodity trading, biofuel supply, marketing, asset operations and engineering services.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist in evaluating opportunities across different business lines for Musket Corporation, through the usage of analytics tools/software.

• Develop market trend data that supports and identifies investment and trading opportunities.

• Quantitative Analysis: support data optimization and process automation projects to streamline the decision making for Musket's trading and investment portfolios.

• Risk Mitigation: manage inherent risks associated with Musket's financial exposure related to supply and demand positions.

• Ability to communicate and present investment decisions, development updates and group performance to various members including upper management

• Build & sustain relationships using the appropriate interpersonal skills and communication methods to build constructive relationships with customers, business units, service organizations and other stakeholders to meet shared goals and objectives.

• Contribute to the team’s success by demonstrating cooperation and collaboration while participating in a group or team environment.

• Facilitate & manage change by making effective decisions which achieve the desired results in the midst of changes in responsibilities, work processes, timeframes, performance expectations, organizational culture or work environment.

• Actively supports and promotes corporate and/or business unit changes.

• Research and evaluate proposed longer term or complex transactions

• Lead process automation projects to eliminate manual procedures.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics, Computational Finance, or related technical fields

Experience:

• Experience in a trading organization preferred

SKILLS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Skills:

• Write complex algorithms in programming languages, such as C++, Python, Java, SQL or VBA, to optimize the supply and demand positions of a business portfolio.

• Visualization and interpretation of data analytics using Tableau & Python Pandas or similar tools.

• Proficiency in database management system such as MS SQL server, Oracle, etc.

• Experience working with cloud data warehouses like Snowflake

• Experience in building forecasting models including linear regression and time-series analysis.

• Results driven focus with the goal and ability to harnesses others’ energy to drive toward goal alignment which meets or exceeds expectations.

• Typical Physical Demands:

• Requires prolonged sitting, some bending and stooping.

• Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.

• Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator.

• Requires normal range of hearing and vision.
