Cindy Bradley is currently setting up interviews for this client! We are in search of a Sr. Staff Accountant to join our team in the Medical Mfg/Distribution/Services Industry located in North West Houston, Texas. This role will involve managing and overseeing various accounting activities. You will be tasked with processing monthly journal entries, reconciling key balance sheet accounts, and supporting month-end and year-end close processes.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the processing of monthly journal entries and ensure their accuracy.

• Conduct reconciliation of key balance sheet accounts on a regular basis.

• Offer support during month-end and year-end close processes.

• Collaborate with external audits to ensure compliance with industry standards.

• Manage the operating leases within a software environment and provide accurate payment information to Accounts Payable.

• Oversee the commissions software environment and provide accurate calculations to approvers and payment amounts to Payroll.

• Participate in special projects as required, contributing accounting expertise.

• Ensure the accuracy of customer credit records and take necessary action based on the information.

• Utilize Microsoft Excel and other relevant software to maintain and analyze financial data.

• Use skills in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger, Journal Entries, and Month End Close to perform duties effectively.

Requirements

• Candidate must possess a minimum of 3 years of experience in a Senior Accountant role, preferably within the Manufacturing/Distribution/Services industry

• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations is required

• Experience with General Ledger management and Journal Entries is essential

• Must be highly skilled in Microsoft Excel

• Proven experience in handling Month End Close processes is necessary

• Familiarity with Captivate software is a plus

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required

• Excellent analytical skills with an attention to detail

• Strong organizational and communication skills

• Ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines concurrently

• High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation

• Knowledge of current financial regulations and standards

• Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively with different levels of employees and management.
