Description We are seeking a diligent Staff Accountant to join our team situated in Houston, Texas. In this role, you will be entrusted with verifying, allocating, coding, and reconciling banking and credit card transactions. You will also be responsible for producing error-free accounting reports, analyzing financial information, and summarizing financial status. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to our organization's financial health.

Responsibilities:

• Verify, allocate, code, and reconcile banking and credit card transactions with accuracy and efficiency.

• Produce error-free accounting reports and present their results to the team.

• Analyze financial information and summarize financial status for review.

• Spot errors in financials and make appropriate corrections promptly.

• Provide technical support with regards to accounting systems and banking portals.

• Collect all necessary documentation to support transactions.

• Ensure compliance with GAAP principles.

• Perform complex accruals and substantial intercompany accounting.

• Utilize skills in Full Cycle Accounting, Journal Entries, Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation, Bank Reconciliations, Invoice Approvals, Prepaid Expense, Fixed Asset Depreciation, Fixed Asset Inventory, Month End Close, and Accruals. Requirements • Possession of a minimum of 3 years of experience in a Staff Accountant role or similar

• Demonstrable experience with Full Cycle Accounting

• Familiarity with Journal Entries and Account Reconciliation

• Proficiency in Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation and Bank Reconciliations

• Proven experience in Invoice Approvals and Prepaid Expense management

• Knowledge of Fixed Asset Depreciation and Fixed Asset Inventory management

• Familiarity with Month End Close process and Accruals management

• Excellent communication and organizational skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

• Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite

• Solid understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices

• Ability to meet deadlines and manage time effectively.
