What is the job about?

Grundfos Commercial Building Services is seeking a Sales Engineer – Data Systems Integrator. The Sales Engineer will be responsible for supporting relationship building and growing sales in the Data Center Vertical by applying a combination of sales skills and specialized technical knowledge. The engineer will be responsible for generating interest in Grundfos’ products and services, and directly generate sales based on an in-depth understanding of the Grundfos offering to the data center industry. They will be responsible for providing technical and sales support to Key Account Managers, customers, Grundfos CSSC (Customer Sales and Support Center) & Operations. This role will report directly to the Area Sales Director and will operate on a Hybrid schedule out of Brookshire, TX office.

Relocation for this position cannot be supported and qualified candidates must have authorization to work in the USA without support.

Your main responsibilities :

  • Develop a deep understanding of products, applications, and solutions relevant to the data center market in the US & Canada.

  • Act as a technical resource for system integrators in the data center industry by providing guidance and support in product selection, application engineering, technical and application troubleshooting, and sales messaging in the market.

  • Effectively communicate the Grundfos product value proposition in order to drive data center sales in close collaboration with Key Account Managers in the Data Center team.

  • Develop and maintain a good understanding of HVAC and control systems in data centers and be able to recommend the best solutions to customers.

  • Support the achievement of annual sales, profitability, and market share growth targets for CBS USA & Canada.

  • Build and maintain mutually beneficial and long-lasting customer relationships as well as strong internal relationships with Sales, CSSC, and Operations.

Your background:

We imagine that you have:

  • A bachelor’s in engineering or technical field is required.

  • 1-3 years of experience in Industrial, Commercial, Municipal sales or equivalent experience. Data Center industry experience is a strong advantage.

  • Strong technical aptitude with an ability to understand articulate complex technical solutions and concepts.

  • Proven experience in technical sales or sales engineering preferably in engineered solutions.

  • Knowledge of how system integrators operate in the Data Center realm with proven experience of successfully growing pumps and the systems business is a plus.

  • Strong understanding of sales strategies, channel management and partner relationships with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with industry stakeholders.
