The Repair Engineer is a thorough, dedicated and technical customer facing individual, who is focused on developing unique repair solutions of engineered-to-order turbomachinery using industry standards and Siemens Energy developed repair standards. The objective is to ensure reliability, availability and efficiency of the equipment while prioritizing safety and quality to return the unit back to operating condition!

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Conductreviews on shop book packages.

• Developwork instructions, repair shop routers, inspection packages and qualityplans.

• Establishguidelines to provide engineering assessment and disposition forcompromised equipment.

• Collaboratewith production bay supervisors and leadsman to ensure specifications andprocedures are adhered to during each project phase.

• Supportthe resolution of customer technical issues to provide effective solutionswithin acceptable schedule requirements.

• Contributeto digitalization efforts to enhance shop operations (digital inspectionprograms i.e. 3-D scanning).

• Practiceinnovation and optimize engineering processes to support shop execution.

• Coordinatewith experts to develop accurate repair dispositions.

• Facilitaterepair engineering improvement by reviewing repair standards with industrypreferred methods.

• Drivecontinuous improvement of engineering processes within the area ofresponsibility that impacts quality and business excellence.

• Establisha high quality and safety culture during scope execution.

• Driveharmony between product competency centers and repair engineering team.

• Builda learning environment for all repair engineers at different locations,strive for collaboration.

• Developaccurate reports and organizing engineering records to update fleet data.

What You Bring

• Bachelor'sdegree in mechanical engineering (or equivalent field).

• Musthave a minimum of 3 years of working experience with rotating equipment;5+ years in the oil & gas or power generation service industry ispreferred.

• Candidates with more years of experience may be eligiblefor a more senior level position.

• Possess fundamental knowledge of turbomachinery theory andthorough understanding of standard repair principles is preferred.

• Familiarwith machining and mechanic operations is preferred.

• Proficientin general software and data analysis skills required (Word, Excel,Outlook and basic 3D software (Poly works).

• Musthave familiarity and experience with industry standards (ASME & API).

• Stronganalytical skills and ability to be agile/resourceful with a keenattention to detail.

• Proficientwith PLM (Team Center / Globus) and ERP (SAP) systems.

• Excellentcommunication, interpersonal ability and technical writing skills.

• Flexibilityto adapt to changing priorities and work in a dynamic environment.

• Applicantsmust be legally authorized for employment in the United States withoutneed for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. SiemensEnergy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible forinternal transfers.
