Robert Half Project Document Controller II - Subsea in Houston, Texas

Description We are offering a contract employment opportunity for a Project Document Controller in Houston, Texas. The successful candidate will be crucial in ensuring that project documentation is accurately captured, catalogued, and controlled using the applicable Document Control systems and processes. This role falls within the office management function and requires strong skills in communication, documentation, and operations, among others.

Responsibilities:

• Ensuring that project documentation is properly recorded, catalogued, and controlled in the EDMS system and Sharepoint/Network folders in accordance with the Projects Document Management plan.

• Creating customer records as required and preparing documents for transmittal to client according to project-specific procedures.

• Maintaining information in project Electronic Document Management System (EDMS).

• Creating and maintaining document numbers including client and suppliers numbers.

• Generating reports that could include: Late Reports, Status Reports, Open Reports and others as required and addressing identified problems.

• Following document control procedure in transmitting and receiving documents.

• Generating and maintaining MDR for client and project team use.

• Serving as a main point of contact for Project team on information management and documentation in projects.

• Analyzing and controlling all technical documentation related to department and project activities within contractual requirements and Company procedures including confidentiality.

• Handling and registering all outgoing and incoming transmittals according to project document control procedure.

• Training of Jr. Document Controllers on Manufacturing Record Book compilation (MRBs) and EDMS (Electronic Document Management System). Requirements

• Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

• Strong communication skills, both written and oral, with proficiency in the English language

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information

• Knowledge and experience in quality review processes

• Proficiency in filing and managing paper documents
