iParametrics LLC Process-Mechanical Designer in Houston, Texas
JOB TITLE: Process Designer LOCATION: Houston, TX JOB DESCRIPTION The Process Designer will work with engineering teams to originate and produce complex design drawings and 3D models related to process and mechanical systems. This role involves walking down field systems, interpreting field data, and generating advanced design details while ensuring compliance with applicable codes and standards. The Process Designer will also be responsible for providing oversight, directing work, and ensuring accuracy in design tasks, making it an essential part of the project delivery team. RESPONSIBILITIES
Utilize CAD applications to produce design drawings and 3D models of moderate to advanced complexity.
Perform 3D modeling with a focus on process and mechanical systems (experience with S3D preferred).
Read, interpret, and generate design drawings with minimal supervision from engineering.
Conduct field walkdowns, interpret direction, and generate detailed designs based on field data.
Create new drawings, modify existing designs, and direct the work of other designers as required.
Provide support in developing project estimates, schedules, staffing requirements, and progress reports.
Track key project quantities and contribute to scope of services and facilities documentation.
Ensure designs comply with Federal, State, and Local codes and standards, particularly those relevant to nuclear or other specialized engineering projects.
Approve and review work from other design team members, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Must be a U.S. Citizen.
Proficient in CAD software and 3D modeling applications (S3D preferred).
Minimum of 10 years of experience in the nuclear field, with an associate degree preferred.
Experience in drafting and design within engineering fields such as process, mechanical, structural, communications, architectural, fire protection, or civil engineering.
Knowledge of relevant Federal and Department of Energy (DOE) codes and standards.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Strong experience in nuclear or similarly regulated industries.
Excellent leadership skills, including experience directing and reviewing work from other designers.
Advanced technical knowledge in design and drafting standards and practices across multiple engineering disciplines.

Compensation for this position is hourly ($60-70) based on experience, background, and skills.
