Job overview and responsibilities

Aircraft Records Manager is responsible to design, revise, and establish policies, procedures and controls necessary for responsible functional group (or fleet type), in accordance with FAA, GMM and department DOP requirements. Responsible for the overall mainframe forecast establishment, updates and accuracy. Ensure that policies and procedures support, and result in complete and accurate maintenance compliance records, that are maintained in accordance with the FAA, corporate and department retention policies.

  • Responsible to manage the establishment, accuracy and revisions to the maintenance mainframe task and time limit forecast, for applicable specifications (or fleet types), based upon instructions received from Engineering and/or Mx Programs

  • Define; assist in development, and implementation of department policies and procedures that enable the timely receipt, accountability, audit and retention of maintenance compliance documents (paper/electronic), as applicable to assigned function and/or fleet type airframe, engines, or components.

  • Manage and coordinate records related recurring and special projects (i.e. aircraft exists, FAA audits, data migrations, external FAA/Legal/Other department requests, etc) for functional or fleet specific status reports and/or maintenance compliance records.

  • Manage and provide resource management, including providing the appropriate tools and training to staff members.

  • Coordinate with other departments on projects and initiatives involving or affecting Aircraft Records

Qualifications

What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):

  • BS/BA degree, or equivalent aviation maintenance management experience

  • Applicable knowledge and experience applying FAA records and recordkeeping regulations.

  • 8+ years of airline maintenance recordkeeping management experience

  • Strong and demonstrated analytical problem solving skills.

  • Demonstrated leadership skills, working within and between work groups.

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship.

  • Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification.

  • Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position.
