Job Description

David Weekley Homes is seeking a Leadership Succession HR Business Partner to join our Human Resources team at our Houston headquarters.

This person is responsible for partnering with the VP of HR and senior leadership by supporting the administration, reporting and communication of the company-wide talent/succession growth strategy. The support of this strategy ensures that the organization has a strong performance culture and is prepared with a leadership pipeline required to achieve David Weekley Homes' business objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Supports the organizational internal talent review practice with key data and analysis used to identify and retain top talent, as well as facilitate movement and development of talent through succession planning.

  • Helps with the identification and creation of key talent pools.

  • Develop and implement effective strategies, plans and procedures. Monitor progress of established processes and enhance as needed.

  • Coordinate and administer assessments to potential leadership candidates inside and outside of the organization

  • Provide interpretation of assessments to managers as well as feedback and mentoring as needed.

  • Maintain talent/succession tracking system.

  • Coordinates new manager surveys, Team Surveys and 360s and reporting.

  • Work in conjunction with our Talent Acquisition Team to ensure that high-potential new talent is continually recruited into the organization.

  • Provide ad-hoc reporting and analysis as requested by senior leaders.

  • Support various talent assessment projects as needed.

    Who We’re Looking For: Education & Experience:

  • 5-7 years related HR/ Organizational Development experience and/or Training, with 2-3 years exposure to talent management

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, Organizational Development, or related field

  • Or equivalent combination of above education and experience

  • Working knowledge of talent and succession best practices

    Successful candidate will also have:

  • Solid knowledge of MS Office products including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook

  • Excellent written, oral and positive influential interpersonal skills required; ability to communicate in technical and non-technical terms; effective presentation skills

  • Flexibility to adapt to changing demands and or requests

  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving and decision-making skills

  • Commitment to delighting customers

  • Effective project management skills with the ability to plan, prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously

  • Must be an independent thinker

  • Self-motivated, organized and detail-oriented
