Southern Glazer’s offers a competitive compensation package range is $85,000 - $100,000. In determining a final offer, the company will evaluate a specific candidate's education, skills and experience and will make an offer appropriately.

Overview

Responsible for achieving main company objectives, targeted monthly Key Performance Metrics/Indicators, developing strategies and implementing ‘route-to-market’ tactics while managing key customers, suppliers and distributor personnel in a manner that will achieve profitable long-term growth, while maintaining our company standards.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Sell to accounts in trade channels including On and Off-Premise Independents, regional, and/or national customers

  • Drive brand success via leadership through trade channels by actively supporting the selling efforts of distributor sales representatives, district managers, and key account specialists within the wholesaler

  • Lead all parts of the sales process including targeting appropriate accounts, lead selling, education and positioning brands for success within the account

  • Monitor field implementation and execution of programs within assigned accounts to ensure competitive pricing and promotion

  • Regularly interact with field personnel on brand priorities, standards and best practices leading to successful execution in the market

  • Understand the importance of supplier/client relationships and execute successful visits to South Florida Markets when requested

  • Provide detailed tracking reports of wholesaler performance against agreed-to supplier objectives

  • Develop key account relationships that deliver measurable results

  • Work with key assigned sales personnel and teams to deliver monthly goals (work-withs, product training samples, etc.)

  • Create, coordinate, and attend on-site promotional functions at established customer accounts (e.g. wine maker dinners, product launches, and tastings)

Additional Primary Responsibilities

  • Recap weekly activity and deliver updates on current or upcoming field opportunities

  • Oversee, maintain and/or develop 25-30 Key Accounts in Key Market Florida territories/areas

  • Comprehensive understanding of wine and spirits to include regions/varietals, product/food pairing techniques, basic production, and service

  • Ability to adapt and assist multiple internal customer groups with varying personality types

  • Strong negotiation skills, showcase an entrepreneurial spirit and ability to create/sell innovative ideas

  • Goal oriented, focused, and assertive individual who needs little direction or supervision

  • Proficient at calculating commissions, percentages, and reviewing comparative sales data for analysis

  • Stay apprised of federal, state and local laws affecting the beverage/alcohol industry within account responsibility

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience

  • 5 years of industry related sales experience within the distribution, hospitality or supplier community

  • Valid state motor vehicle operator’s license and ability to obtain and maintain auto liability insurance in accordance with State laws

  • Ability to work flexible hours which include early morning evenings, and/or weekends

  • Ability to travel throughout State of Florida and stay overnight, as required

  • Ability to participate in business meetings, company initiatives and events upon request

  • Physical demands with activity or condition may include walking, bending, reaching, standing, squatting, and stooping

  • Physical demands with activity or condition for a considerable amount of time include driving throughout the day with segments up to 2 hours

  • May require lifting/lowering, pushing, carrying, or pulling up to 56lbs
