Integrated Project Solutions – Solution Development Leader

This is an exciting time in the oil and gas industry with the emerging energy transition, evolving sustainability demands, continued growth in petrochemical markets, and evolving transportation fuels markets. Developing a bankable and sustainable project has never been more challenging. Yet, Honeywell UOP continues to innovate and develop sustainable, bankable pathways to meet our customers’ needs.

We have an immediate opening for a Solution Development Leader on our Business Development and Integrated Project Solutions team. This specialized global team provides configuration, strategy and project development expertise to our external and internal customers to develop bankable and sustainable projects that meet the needs for today and tomorrow. These projects are typically multi-billion-dollar investments focused on developing new refining and petrochemical complexes, revamping existing complexes, or assessing emerging concepts like hydrogen transport technologies.

The Solution Development Leader will develop to perform the following functions.

Leads customer configuration study engagements as a trusted advisor to identify and assess solutions for maximum value creation that best fit the customer’s needs. The Solution Development Leader develops optimal solutions as seen through the eyes of key customer decision makers such as CEOs and CFOs. So, there is a strong focus on clear communication of key value propositions such as net cash margins, capital efficiencies and sustainability impacts.

Supports technology licensing activities on multi-unit opportunities by developing complex wide value propositions unique to UOP.

Works internally to identify value gaps in UOP’s portfolio; and helps develop the business cases to support R&D and M&A investment opportunities.

Works both individually and as part of larger teams; has frequent customer interactions; has frequent Honeywell UOP management interactions; and is supported by our high-powered and diverse team of solution development leaders and configuration specialists.

Present innovative and emerging solutions at industry conferences.

Key accountabilities of this position include:

  • Lead engagements with customers to develop complex processing solutions that meet the customer goals and allow projects to progress to further development.

  • Establish credibility with customers and ensure their issues are addressed in a timely fashion.

  • Manage project goals and deadlines effectively.

  • Use refinery & petrochemicals complex modeling tools to develop and compare configuration options.

  • Leverage the knowledge of UOP to provide unique, high value solutions.

  • Steward the development and execution of opportunities into technology licensing events.

  • Work to ensure customer satisfaction through good communication and delivery on our commitments.

  • Anticipated travel up to 25%

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering

  • 15+ years’ experience in refining and/or petrochemical technologies

  • Refining and/or Petrochemicals configuration modeling and analysis

WE VALUE:

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively drive multiple project teams and interact effectively with other internal and external groups

  • Skilled at economic analysis of major capital projects and familiar with sensitivity analysis techniques like Monte-Carlo analysis

  • Experience developing and justifying capital projects

  • Experience with economics & planning

  • Experience programming LP Models

  • Experience using and analyzing LP models

  • Capable of working under limited-to-minimal supervision
