Job Title: Pipeline GIS Technician
Job Description
As a Pipeline GIS Technician, you will be responsible for utilizing GIS Software, including ArcMap, UPDM, and Arc Catalog tools to create and edit linear and stationed route events. Your role will involve researching pipeline historical data such as materials lists, completion reports, maintenance records, AFE/work order authorization, hydro tests, mill tests, and management of change forms. Daily tasks include using FileNet for documentation storage and retrieval, updating and verifying documentation, reviewing PDF drawings and alignment sheets, and sourcing project information from project managers, databases, or local hardcopies in the office.
Hard Skills
4 years of pipeline GIS experience
Proficient in GIS Software: ArcGIS, Arc Catalog tools, UPDM
Ability to create and edit linear and stationed route events
Research skills in historical pipeline data: materials lists, completion reports, maintenance records, work orders, markups, alignment sheets, survey data
Ability to read drawings, ISOs, schematics, alignment sheets
Soft Skills
Effective communication
Detail-oriented
Ability to work independently and collaboratively

Work Site
This is a fully on-site position in Houston, Texas.
Work Environment
In an office environment, business casual. You will work primarily at your desk but may need to access filing areas. Interaction with project leaders and managers is also a part of the role.
