We have an exciting opportunity for a Gateway VSM Software Tools Engineer to join our team with the Engineering division.

If selected you will:

• Develop Software Testing Tools in support of the simulation of the Gateway Vehicle System Manager, including a reporting tool and a timeline translator tool

• Decompose system requirements into software requirements

• Develop software to provide the required functionality using C/C++ and Python

• Perform software testing and verification

• Develop software documentation

• Perform other duties as assigned

Requisition Qualifications:

• Typically requires a bachelor's degree in engineering and a minimum of 2- 5 years of experience in the field or in a related area

• Strong C/C++ programming skills and experience within the last two years

• Proficiency in C/C++ programming language

• Proficiency in Python programming language

• Experience in User Interface/User Experience design and Graphical User Interface development

• Configure and troubleshoot development software with limited documentation

• Identify bugs and work with the existing tools to resolve

• Organize and manage multiple priorities

• Communicate and demonstrate progress to management

Requisition Preferences:

• MS degree in engineering and five (5) years of direct engineering experience

• Experience with avionics systems design and development software

• Familiarity with Git and or other similar configuration management/version control systems

• Experience with NASA and JSC policies and procedures, including the NASA Software Engineering Handbook

• Familiarity with NASA NPR 7150.2 software engineering requirements
