Position Description

This position uses technical treasury and managerial expertise to lead/ perform functions to maximize liquidity, optimize capital structure, and reduce financial risks. The position also leads initiatives for improving KBR’s Treasury and Corporate Finance operating framework to better serve KBR’s business units globally and advance automation and best practices. This is a highly influential role where coaching, developing and training people is a top priority for building a high-performance organization. The successful candidate will have high impact and be highly visible interfacing with internal colleagues and external parties including senior management, business division finance teams, commercial and investment banks / financial partners, rating agencies, etc. This role also supports the VP & Treasurer as needed during strategic M&A.

Duties and Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include the following activities:

  • Prioritize, plan and oversee work activities of departmental personnel to advance KBR financial goals, while providing coaching, training, and development to team members and cross-functional team members.

  • Oversee KBR’s daily cash position and daily money movements using internal workbooks/models; maintaining programs linked to external banking systems

  • Identifying opportunities to maximize cash availability, and reduce FX volatility, and potentially invest daily cash surpluses.

  • Oversee KBR’s currency and interest rate hedging program including the identification of risk exposures, placement of derivative contracts, periodic reporting, and internal control monitoring.

  • Lead the financial forecast preparation for cash, debt, and other financial matters (e.g. AR factoring, hedging, banking fees) collaborating with FP&A Accounting and KBR Shared Services in Huntsville, Dubai., and Chennai.

  • Oversee maintaining records of KBR public / inter-co debt, performing corporate activities related to AR factoring program, tracking /paying interest and principal payments, administration of interest rate hedges, and analytics of KBR borrowing rates and costs.

  • Oversee short-term and quarterly cash flow forecasting process to maximize liquidity while improving the process through collaborations with colleagues in FP&A/Accounting and Shared Services.

  • Lead working capital related matters, including, analysis of DSO, DPO, DWC, interest expense/income.

  • Assist managing existing corporate banking relationships and other financial institutions to optimize the corporation’s cash management, investment, debt, equity, and risk management decisions.

  • Analyze and recommend financial products or services to better serve KBRs capital structure.

Additional, periodic responsibilities include:

  • Implement appropriate treasury policies and procedures and coordinate improvements to existing ones to conformance with industry best practices.

  • Oversee the process for Treasury electronic funds transfers via treasury workstation or related banking platforms to ensure compliance with KBR’s Authorization Matrix.

  • Stay abreast of debt and equity capital markets, changes in accounting rules that impact treasury matters.

  • Ensure adequacy of internal control procedures and provide information for external audits.

  • Oversee treasury’s annual budget and the team’s annual work performance goals.

Professional Qualifications and Skills

The employee performing this work demonstrates the following learned skills and personal traits:

  • Subject matter expert in corporate finance matters and demonstrated understanding of financial concepts, treasury business processes, and digital systems (e.g. TMWorkstations, banking platforms, and banking services such as Bloomberg).

  • Familiarity with financial derivatives, ISDA, and domestic markets trading derivative contracts.

  • Strong quantitative and qualitative analytic skills. Capable of analyzing data, evaluating and distinguishing relevant facts, and using judgement / logic to arrive at effective solutions.

  • Experience leading employees and creating a vision for future performance /success

  • Communicates and collaborates well with team members and across organizational boundaries to ensure the successful completion of shared goals.

  • Exudes leadership skills to effectively conduct meetings and communicate issues / trends to senior management.

  • 10+ years of Corporate Treasury experience for a multinational corporation.

  • Demonstrate attention to detail in a fast-paced work environment and the ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously to drive results.

  • Advanced MS Suite application skills: Excel (i.e. macros, pivot tables, formulas), Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Teams and Project. Working knowledge of Adobe/PDF, Power BI, FCCS, FIS, , Workiva WDesk, SharePoint. Familiar with SAP, Deltek Costpoint, and MS Dynamics.

  • BA/BS Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting and CPA, MBA, CFA. CTP a plus
