Amazon Data Engineer, Partner Intelligence in Houston, Texas

AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector.

The AWS Partner Intelligence team within SMGS is seeking a Data Engineer to help design, deploy and scale a suite of GenerativeAI solutions supporting a high impact community of Science and Analytics builders. This is a high-visibility position focused on enabling Scientists, BIEs and SDEs with robust, secure and highly reliable data tools and assets that support internal GenerativeAI workstreams. In this role you will work with directly with senior builders, leaders and business stakeholder to dive deep on the status quo and make bold, long-term recommendations on strategic direction and solution designs including advanced structured and unstructured data stores.

Key job responsibilities

  • Operate through ambiguity using technical background to deliver impactful, secure and incrementally robust solutions.

  • Define and deploy development and tooling standards for management of unstructured data stores.

  • Have an implicit passion for delivering data of an exceptionally high quality standard and effective security posture.

  • Eager to experiment, iterate and repeat in order to deliver the best possible solutions.

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of data engineering experience

  • Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with AWS technologies like Redshift, S3, AWS Glue, EMR, Kinesis, FireHose, Lambda, and IAM roles and permissions

  • Experience with non-relational databases / data stores (object storage, document or key-value stores, graph databases, column-family databases)

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $105,700/year in our lowest geographic market up to $205,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
