KBR Contracts Manager - Sugar Land in Houston, Texas

Contracts Manager - Sugar Land

KBR is seeking a highly qualified Contract Manager to support our client from the Sugar Land, TX location. The Contracts Manager will provide support to contracts/ and related business processes throughout all stages of the contract management life cycle.

Must be able to work independently and function effectively as part of a team and interact with people from junior to senior levels. Should have experience meeting deadlines, and prioritizing contracts related items across large organizations.

Functional job responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Perform pre-award contract activities, contractor pre-qualification, and interface with engineering/construction, project and client personnel to support the preparation of RFP.

  • Bid evaluation and negotiations up to award and contract execution specifically related to EPC contracts for businesses.

  • Organize and prepare presentations, and meetings with contractors and clients.

  • Be proactive with contractors to ensure contract compliance, generation of progress, schedules, daily and other status reports, invoices and supporting documents in a timely manner.

  • Perform close-out of contracts; finalize outstanding contract issues, final invoices and contractor performance evaluations.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in contracts and procurement.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field.

  • Required knowledge of contract law, engineering, procurement and construction techniques with strong working knowledge of technical aspects.

  • Required knowledge of industrial construction methods and materials, risk analysis, good analytical skills, and organizational skills.

  • Preferred experience in any of the following construction arenas: Heavy Industrial, Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Refineries or Power Generation.

  • Excellent written, verbal, computer, and negotiation skills.
