Superior Completion Services is currently seeking a CNC Mazak Lathe Machinist for our office in Houston, TX .

Summary

The CNC Lathe Machinist prepares, sets up and operates CNC Lathe Machine to assist with tools manufacturing.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Reads blueprints and sets up CNC Lathe to machine part per specifications

• Edits the G-Code program to machine parts of varying sizes

• Measures raw materials to end products with instruments

• Selects and installs check jaws on the Lathe as needed

• Lifts raw material and attaches it appropriately to the Lathe for milling

• Operates CNC lathe milling machine to turn molds to specifications

• Follows safety precautions and assists maintenance with repairs as needed

• Operates cranes and overhead cranes as needed

• Inspects machined components and reports findings

Minimum Requirements

• Minimum of three years related experience and/or training

• Experience with Fanuc or Mazak controls, must be able to edit and prove out new programs

• Previous experience with down holes tools and sand control equipment

• Select required tooling and make set-up’s

• Ability to enter information into Cimco data base accurately

• Basic math skills needed for business calculations

• Basic understanding of machines and machines tools

• Able to work flexible hours, including weekends

• Able to work second shift position

• Will require running two lathes at times when needed

Education

• High School diploma or equivalent required
