Civil Assets Inspector - Port Arthur, TX.

Intertek's Asset Integrity Management team provides asset life management support to infrastructure, facilities, and equipment through the conception, design, construction, commissioning, operations, and decommissioning phases. Intertek provides specialists and engineering support in all areas of Asset Integrity Management, including design, process safety, mechanical integrity, inspection and maintenance, operational and process support, corrosion, metallurgy, and risk analysis to provide you with Total Quality Assurance.

What are we looking for?

As a minimum, an entry level Civil Assets Inspector with a background in CADD and Civil Design or field experience with civil installations to be trained to perform visual inspections to identify issues with concrete and steel assets needing repair under the direction of a Project Civil Engineer. Compensation will align with level of experience. Potential for long term employment for the right candidate.

What you’ll do:

Implement an evergreen civil asset program where all critical civil assets are identified, detailed on inspection documents through cad software, visually inspected, create inspection reports, make recommendations for repairs and track same, and create inspection intervals based on client’s site policies for each.

What is takes to be successful in this role:

• 2-years of related experience required. Professional experience a Plus: AUTO CADD, CWI, ACI, NACE

• Capable of working with multiple people across different departments to accomplish the work

• Strong computer skills with Excel, Word, and Adobe PDF. CAD software experience preferred but not required

• Able to manage multiple tasks at one time

• Valid TWIC card (required)

• Valid driver’s license and reliable driving record (required)
