Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our Retail Oil and Gas Company. The ideal candidate will have expertise in month-end close processes, bank reconciliations, financial statement preparation, fixed assets management, financial and variance analysis, audit support, and ERP implementation experience.

Senior Accountant Responsibilities:

• Complete month-end close processes accurately and on time.

• Prepare and post manual journal entries and accruals with necessary approvals.

• Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure financial record accuracy.

• Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

• Oversee fixed asset accounting, maintain the asset register, and conduct periodic audits.

• Analyze financial statements to explain variances and provide management insights.

• Serve as the primary contact for audits, prepare schedules, and respond to auditor inquiries.

• Participate in ERP system implementation and integration, ensuring smooth transitions.

• Ensure adherence to internal controls, policies, and regulatory requirements.

  Requirements

Senior Accountant Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.

• Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience.

• Proficiency in month-end close, bank reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.

• Strong understanding of fixed assets accounting and variance analysis.

• Experience in ERP implementation and financial software.

• Excellent communication and analytical skills.

• Ability to work independently and with cross-functional teams.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
