Robert Half Assistant Treasurer in Houston, Texas

Description A manufacturing company located near the Galleria is looking for an Assistant Treasurer for their team. The Assistant Treasurer complements and strengthens the Treasurer’s responsibilities in managing various financial aspects including cash management, risk management, investment activities, and financial planning.

Responsibilities include:

• Oversee daily cash positioning activities including managing daily liquidity, cash position reconciliation and bank reporting.

• Manage cash management functions including cash flow forecasting and analysis, preparation of the daily cash report, daily borrowings and repayments.

• Oversee corporate debt facilities and ensure adherence to established treasury rules.

• Preparation of Borrowing Base reports and ensuring compliance with loan agreements.

• Responsible for reviewing wire transfer requests for correct backup/approvals and inputting into bank portal.

• Identifying financial risk and developing mitigation strategies.

• Maintain strong communications with banks and other financial service providers.

Manage foreign exchange and interest-rate risk.

• Assisting in the planning and execution of investment and borrowing strategies.

Ideal candidate will have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.

• 3+ years of Cash Management/ Treasury experience

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. (specifically, MS Excel)

• Experience with SAP (preferred)

• Intercompany cash management experience (preferred)

• Bilingual (Spanish) a plus.

Compensation is up to 90K plus bonus.

• Experience with Account Reconciliation is necessary

• Auditing skills are essential for this role

• Knowledge of Cash Forecasting is needed

• Familiarity with SAP is a must

• Intercompany skills are required

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field is preferred

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task effectively

• Must have legal authorization to work in the country of employment.
