McKnight Investments, Inc. has an opening for an Accounting Assistant in Houston, Texas.

Duties include:

  1. Performs varied general administrative functions.
  2. Record Accounts Payables for multiple entities
  3. Record Accounts Receivables/payments for multiple entities
  4. Assist with generating and processing reports and financial data within the accounting department.
  5. Receive and record checks and vouchers.
  6. Assist with account reconciliations.
  7. Keep organization of vendors financial information and files.
  8. Update contractor and vendor profiles when necessary
  9. Communicating with foreign and specialty vendors
  10. Support processing of domestic and foreign monetary transactions.
  11. Assists in the coordination and fulfillment of special projects.
  12. Debit, credit, and total accounts on computer spreadsheets and databases, using specialized accounting software.
  13. Match order forms with invoices and record the necessary information.
  14. Perform bookkeeping services.
  15. Prepare and process payroll information.
  16. Assist with contractor 1099 distributions
  17. Reconcile records of bank and credit card transactions.
  18. Maintain inventory records.
  19. Tracking inventory using the companys inventory tracking software, ShopWorks.
  20. Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned by the accounting lead.

Requirements: Employer will accept a minimum of an associate degree in accounting, business administration, or related field and 18 months of experience in the job offer or similar. Experience should include:

  1. 18 months of experience with account payables and receivables.
  2. 18 months of experience working with foreign and specialty vendors .
  3. 12 months of experience with QuickBooks.
  4. 12 months of experience with an inventory tracking software, like ShopWorks or similar.
  5. 12 months of experience with Microsoft Office
    1. 12 months of experience preparing payroll.
