If you are an entry-level Accountant, looking for an opportunity to grow with a company into a Controller, this may be the role for you. Accounting degree is required. Hybrid schedule flexibility after training. A growing Oil and Gas company that manages about 1,000 wells is currently seeking an Accountant to join our team. The company is transitioning from using an outside firm for their accounting, and this position is their 1st accounting hire in house, with plans to build out a team. Willing to train. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated, detail-oriented professional who will be able to learn full cycle oil and gas accounting. Ideal candidates will have a strong understanding of accounting principles and are willing to continue learning throughout their tenure in the position. Experience in the oil and gas industry would be favorable but is not a requirement.

Responsibilities:

• Carry out daily financial transactions including ledger entries, reconciliations, and processing payments.

• Manage accounts payable, invoicing, and division orders.

• Responsible for booking revenue and ensuring accuracy of financial data.

• Assist in the onboarding of new assets as the company continues to grow.

• Collaborate with company executives on financial forecasting and budgeting.

  Requirements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting.

• Strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).

• Proficiency in accounting software and Excel.

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Ability to plan, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work with minimal supervision.
