Robert Half Accountant, Sr in Houston, Texas

Description We are in the process of recruiting a detail-oriented Accountant for our team located in Hanover, Maryland. This role primarily involves maintaining a good understanding of GAAP SEC regulations and company policies, leading special projects, providing guidance to other team members, and ensuring the integrity of corporate financial data. This position offers a short term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain a solid understanding of GAAP SEC regulations, company policies, and procedures.

• Lead special projects including research, analysis, and reporting on issues that affect the organization.

• Provide guidance and direction to other team members to ensure efficiency and productivity.

• Ensure the integrity of corporate financial data through the implementation of appropriate internal controls.

• Prepare financial reports in compliance with GAAP to accurately reflect the company's financial status.

• Prepare schedules and journal entries independently.

• Maintain and book both operated and non-operated revenue as assigned.

• Prepare and analyze monthly assigned Revenue Reconciliations and quarterly Excalibur to SAP Reconciliations.

• Assist with owner inquiries and perform detailed owner reconciliations.

• Perform financial analysis on the assigned companies to review monthly entries and confirm accuracy.

• Maintain relationships with other departments within the organization to ensure efficient information flow. Requirements • Possess strong knowledge of GAAP Accounting principles and practices.

• Demonstrated proficiency in Financial Reporting and Financial Analysis.

• Ability to perform regular tasks such as Journal Entries, Cash Activity Review and Reconciliations.

• Proven experience with Revenue Accounting and Variance Analysis.

• Must have the ability to implement and comply with Company Policy and Internal Control procedures.

• Excellent Communication Skills for coordinating with Partners, Staffing teams, and Suppliers.

• Experience in Onboarding new clients and handling their account management.

• Ability to perform Ad Hoc Financial tasks and projects as needed.

• Proficiency in conducting Research Analysis and implementing findings for financial improvement.

• Experience with Quarterly reporting and meeting financial deadlines.

• Must be adept at locating and resolving issues related to Missing Invoices.

• Demonstrated ability to follow ethical practices and compliance with regulations in all financial dealings.
