Ouachita Behavioral Health and Wellness is in search of a part time Peer Support Specialist (PSS) to serve clients in our rehabilitative day treatment program. The PSS is an active member of the treatment team and collaborates with the day treatment team to provide support services to adults in our program. They will function as role models, exhibit competency in personal recovery and use of life skills, and assist in creating personal goals for recovery from mental health issues using one-to-one and group sessions. PSS will utilize and demonstrate problem solving techniques and provide a wide range of activities to assist clients in exercising control over their own lives and their recovery or resilience-building process. They will complete documentation of group and/or individual interventions in an accurate manner and participate in weekly team meetings and supervisions to enhance communication and efficacy of treatment.

Qualified candidate must have 2 years or more of lived experience having personally received services within the behavioral health system, High school diploma or jurisdictional certified high school equivalency, valid Arkansas driver\'s license or state issued identification card, and will have completed the PSS training program approved by the Arkansas Department of Human Services. Candidates will also be proficient in computer skills and be able to meet requirements and pass criminal background checks prior to onboard.
