POSITION OVERVIEW (Job Summary): 

Wolverine Proctor and Century Extrusion are part of CPM operating under the Process Solutions business unit, with locations in the UK, Europe, the USA and China. We develop and manufacture thermal products, dryers, roasters, and ovens for the Wolverine Proctor brand and extruders, twin screw extruders, compounding systems, and produce spare parts for the extruder for the Century Extrusion brand.  This position will support thermal products and extrusion.

As part of the global sales support team, the Proposal Engineer will work and coordinate within a team selling model, with support from Sales Managers and Technical Sales Managers, to prepare customer proposals focusing on technical process solutions along with maintaining cost base information.

    ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

    Your function:

    As our Proposal Engineer you provide internal sales support by:

  • Working with the sales team on proposal scope of supply

  • Assisting with and/or preparing written proposals and calculation sheets

  • Create process flow diagrams, equipment general layout drawings, in AutoCAD mechanical and Microsoft Visio

  • Managing priorities together with the commercial team and the operational team

  • Gathering costs for projects; work with supply chain & procurement area for cost analysis

  • Preparing risk assessments, both financial and hazard analysis

  • Gathering detailed equipment reference drawings, ROI calculation sheets for proposals

  • Perform various engineering calculations and analyses related to process design and equipment sizing and selection

  • Create SAP quotations, and purchase requisitions according to the procedures as assigned

  • Aptitude with computers and applications, such as AutoCAD Mechanical, AutoCAD Inventor, Microsoft Visio, Share Point and Microsoft Office.

    Desirable

  • SAP and CRM (Salesforce) experience a plus

  • Experience with Python or SQL a plus

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree

    Desirable

    Degree in Process or Mechanical Engineering preferred

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Sitting in a normal seated position for extended periods of time.

  • Reaching by extending hand(s) or arm(s) in any direction.

  • Finger dexterity is required to manipulate objects with fingers rather than with whole hand(s) or arm(s), for example, using a keyboard.

  • Communication skills using the spoken word.

  • Ability to move about.

  • Ability to physically lift and carry up to 25lbs.

  • Ability to travel domestically up to 10% of the time.

  • This is a hybrid position which will require 2-3 days in the office at the Wolverine Proctor brand in Horsham, PA.
