We are looking for an exceptional Associate Director, Learning Architecture that will be responsible for being a strategic and trusted advisor to the J&J IM North America Learning Excellence Learning Teams. In this role, you will contribute to the creation of outstanding learning experiences utilizing your design and technology expertise to support performance and drive business outcomes that serve our patients. The day-to-day responsibilities will require a combination of creativity, needs analysis, collaboration, and a commitment to creating evidence based effective and engaging learning experiences in a variety of modalities that amplify learning effectiveness and impact.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Collaborating with Learning Business Partners (LBP) and/or Program / Learning Execution Managers (PM/LEM) to clearly understand learning demand needs, performance objectives, target audience, metrics strategy, and any other deployment details to inform content sourcing decision (build/buy/repurpose)​

  • Designing engaging and learner-centric learning experience using appropriate adult learning and the right modality mix to meet the needs of a modern learner.

  • Applying design thinking in the creation of learning experiences for Pan-JJIM and TA / Business-Specific capabilities across JJIM ​and confidently inform stakeholders when training may not be the appropriate solution.

  • Collaborating with stakeholders to clearly understand learning demand needs, performance objectives, target audience, metrics strategy, and any other deployment details to help inform content sourcing decision (build/buy)​.

  • Ability to quickly prototype to secure buy in/advocate for solutions.

  • Creating a high-level design document, storyboards, and/or rapid prototyping, and making recommendations on approaches that enhance the quality of the learning experience and begin accountable to the learning vision from creation to deployment.​

  • Being versed in modern learning technology and capabilities that can translate into learning experiences and anticipating needs foster development and long-term career growth​

  • Facilitating high-level design working sessions as needed with key stakeholders to ensure alignment of the learning solution prototype against the business needs ​

  • Overseeing and/or supporting teams (internal or agency) conducting detailed design and development activities to build out the learning solutions ​

  • Strategizing and designing learning program sustainment and adoption plan​

  • Remaining current with latest and future learning experience trends and share best practices​

  • Gathering feedback on Learning experiences for continuous improvement

Learning Architects should be prepared/equipped to service a diverse set of stakeholders ranging from therapeutic area learning teams, leadership and marketing teams and market access, aligned to our organizational pillars.

Qualifications

Required Minimum Education : Bachelor’s Degree; Masters in Learning Preferred

Required:

  • 8 years industry experience, with a minimum of 5 years in people management required

  • Previous experience leading Learning Organizations required

  • Strong understanding of learning and development required

  • Experience leading facilitated needs analysis work sessions with multiple stakeholders to uncover root needs

  • Well versed in Microsoft Office Products (Teams, SharePoint, Planner, MS Word, PPT, Excel, etc )

  • Basic experience in authoring tools and/or prototyping tools

  • Success in this role requires the individual to be a self-starter, skilled communicator, and dot-connector that is both creative and customer focused

Preferred:

  • Diversity in prior commercial roles preferred (sales, sales leadership, acct mgt, marketing, etc.)

  • Experience leading learning transformations preferred

The base pay range for this position is $118,000 to $203,550. The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis. Employees may be eligible to participate in Company employee benefit programs such as health insurance, savings plan, pension plan, disability plan, vacation pay, sick time, holiday pay, and work, personal and family time off in accordance with the terms of the applicable plans.
