Service Dog Alabama Kennel Assistant Job Summary: This role is vital in ensuring the safety, health, and happiness of all animals in our care. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, a genuine love for animals, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities: *1. Animal Care:*

• Feeding: Prepare and distribute food according to specific dietary requirements and feeding schedules for each animal.
• Grooming: Bathe, brush, and groom animals as necessary, ensuring they are clean and comfortable.
• Exercise: Walk, play with, and provide mental stimulation for dogs and other animals, adhering to their individual exercise needs.

2. Facility Maintenance:

• Cleaning Duties: Daily cleaning and sanitization of kennel areas, including individual kennels, play areas, grooming room, common spaces, and training center.
• Laundry: Manage laundry tasks, including washing and drying bedding, towels, toys, leashes, collars, and vest
• Waste Management: Properly dispose of animal waste and maintain a clean environment to prevent the spread of disease.

3. Health Monitoring:

• Observation: Monitor animals for signs of illness, injury, or distress; report any concerns to the Kennel Manager.
• Medication Administration: Assist with administering medications as directed by Kennel Manager, ensuring proper dosage and timing.

4. Record Keeping:

• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of each animal's health, behavior, feeding schedules, and any medications administered.
• Behavioral Notes: Document any changes in behavior or health and communicate these with the management team.
