In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive assessments to determine the unique needs of patients, both initially and on an ongoing basis. Collaborating closely with physicians, you will develop and revise personalized treatment plans based on patient progress. Furthermore, you will assist in the development and implementation of interdisciplinary patient care plans, specifically tailored to Physical Therapy. By working hand in hand with physicians, you will administer diagnostic and prognostic tests to evaluate patients' muscle, nerve, joint, and functional abilities. Through a diverse range of physical therapy techniques, such as exercise, massage, heat, water, light, and electricity, you will effectively alleviate pain, enhance function, and optimize performance. As a Physical Therapist, your role also involves educating and guiding both patients and their families in the physical therapy program. You will provide necessary equipment to support the treatment plan and coordinate outpatient services for procedures that cannot be administered at home. Ensuring accurate and timely records of evaluations, treatments, and patients' therapy intervention responses are maintained is of utmost importance. Additionally, you will provide supervision to Physical Therapy Assistants and paraprofessionals, strictly adhering to agency policies. The requirements for this position include being a graduate of a Physical Therapy school approved by the Council of Medical Education of the A.M.A., in collaboration with the American Physical Therapy Association. A valid license to practice Physical Therapy in the state of Hawaii is also mandatory. Preferred qualifications include a minimum of one year of institutional/home health experience. A complete criminal background check and current CPR certification are both essential. As a rewarding aspect, we offer competitive compensation ranging from $55,000 to $70,000 per year, accompanied by a flexible schedule.
