Description
We are offering an opportunity for a Staff Accountant to join our team in Honolulu, Hawaii. This role forms an integral part of our financial operations, where you will be handling various accounting tasks, including general ledger maintenance, financial report preparation, tax return preparation, and audit assistance. Responsibilities:
• Control, maintain, and manage general ledger accounts and transactions.
• Generate financial reports such as balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other relevant documents.
• Review and reconcile accounts receivable and payable periodically.
• Contribute to the budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Assist in the preparation of documents for annual financial audits.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws pertaining to financial reporting and accounting standards.
• Assist in monthly and yearly financial closings.
• Maintain meticulous financial records.
• Conduct ad-hoc financial reporting as needed.
• Utilize accounting software and Microsoft Office for various tasks, especially Excel.
Requirements • Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) management is a must.
• Experience with Bank Reconciliations is required.
• Familiarity with General Ledger management is expected.
• Ability to prepare and analyze Journal Entries is essential.
• Experience with Month End Close procedures is required.
• Knowledge of NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP software is desired.
• The ability to work well in a team environment and communicate effectively is essential.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are required.
• Must have the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field is preferred.
• Relevant work experience in accounting is highly desired.
