Position : Safety Training & Development MGR
Location : Honolulu, HI
Job Purpose :
The Safety Training and Development Manager is responsible for improving the safety training of the organization's employees. This position assesses company-wide developmental needs to drive training initiatives and identifies and arranges suitable training solutions for employees.
Essential Functions :
60% - Develop and implement a unified and singular training program, including monitoring, requirements, employee engagement, and delivery. Training must align with one singular strategy, and reflect values of CBI's SMS
20% - Interact with management and stakeholders to develop training programs based on client needs
20% - Acclimation of regulatory requirements to implement correct and required components so CBI can remain within regulated guidelines.
Education :
Four years of College resulting in a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
Certifications, Accreditations, Licenses :
- Safety certifications and/or accreditations a plus
Relevant Work Experience:
1 to 3 years in related field
Special Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :
Experience in corporate safety preferred
Working knowledge of U.S. and global safety management
Thorough understanding of policies and best practices of safety
Demonstrable leadership
Exceptional written and oral analytical and communication skills
Exceptional negotiation skills
Knowledge of data collection, analysis, data presentation, and statistics
Advanced Microsoft Word and Excel skills
Excellent interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills
Ability to meet deadlines and work in a team environment, multi-task, establish priorities
Supervisory Responsibility :
This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities
Miscellaneous :
Occasional travel required
Salary Range: $70,000 - $98,000
