Robert Half Property Accountant in Honolulu, Hawaii

Description

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Property Accountant in the Investment Management industry, located in HONOLULU, Hawaii. This role will primarily involve the management of financial operations for a hotel/resort, including handling both accounts payable and receivable, processing payroll, budgeting, and generating accurate financial statements. Responsibilities:

• Handle full cycle payables process including preparing analysis, payments, and reconciliations.

• Manage fixed asset ledger and prepare financial statements in compliance with GAAP.

• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial preparation.

• Reconcile accounts, identify and correct any errors.

• Ensure compliance with local/state taxes, implement internal controls, and analyze procedures for improvement.

• Serve as the main point of contact for accounting matters, answering questions and training on-site personnel.

• Manage accounts receivable, ensuring prompt and accurate payment from customers.

• Use accounting software systems to track and manage financial information.

• Conduct auditing and assist with budgeting and ad-hoc projects as needed.

• Utilize accounting functions such as account coding and accrual accounting to ensure financial accuracy.

Requirements • Proven experience in property accounting or relevant role in the investment management industry

• Proficiency in account coding and accrual accounting

• Familiarity with accounting software systems such as AMSI and AppFolio

• Knowledge of ADP - Financial Services

• Ability to manage accounting functions including accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR)

• Experience in auditing and ensuring compliance with financial regulations

• Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail

• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks

• Solid communication skills, both written and verbal

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
