Queen's Health System Manager, Radiation Therapy & Med Physics (Full Time, 40, Day) in Honolulu, Hawaii
RESPONSIBILITIES
I. JOB SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Directs and manages the operations, services, programs and activities of Radiation Therapy.
• Functions as a liaison and facilitator with physicians, administration, external agencies, and internal departments.
• Oversees the coordination of resources and collaborates with leadership to ensure optimal quality care and operations are aligned with the organization’s mission, vision, and philosophy.
• Responsible for department service needs and volumes, program development, regulatory compliance, facility maintenance, and equipment.
• Oversees The Queen’s Medical Center (Manamana and West) Radiation Therapy standard operating procedures, and regulatory and accreditation program.
II. TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
• Finger dexterity, seeing, hearing, speaking.
• Continuous: sitting, static gripping of an object for prolonged periods.
• Frequent: walking.
• Occasional: standing, stooping/bending, climbing stairs, walking on uneven ground, lifting and carrying the usual weight of 1 pound up to 5 pounds, reaching above, at, and below shoulder level, frequent gripping of an object.
III. TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
• Not substantially subjected to adverse environmental conditions.
IV. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
A. EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE:
• Bachelor's degree in business administration, healthcare, Radiation Therapy, or related field.
• Master's Degree in business, health care administration or a health care related field preferred.
• Current Certified Medical Dosimetrist (CMD) certification from the Medical Dosimetrist Certification Board (MDCB).
• Current BLS certification.
B. EXPERIENCE:
• Five (5) years progressive experience in a radiation oncology department or an oncology related field.
• Two (2) years supervisory/leadership experience.
