Kapi'olani Medical Center for Women & Children is Hawai'i’s only maternity, newborn and pediatric specialty hospital. It is well recognized as Hawai'i’s leader in the care of women, infants and children. With 253 beds, the not-for-profit hospital delivers 6,000 babies a year, and is also a medical teaching and research facility. Specialty services for patients throughout Hawai'i and the Pacific Region include intensive care for infants and children, 24-hour emergency pediatric and adult care, critical care air transport and high-risk perinatal care. Over 1,400 employees and more than 700 physicians provide specialty care at Kapi'olani. The hospital is home to the Kapi'olani Women’s Center and the Women’s Cancer Center, and offers numerous community programs and services, such as specialty pediatric clinics, the Kapi'olani Child Protection Center and the Sex Abuse Treatment Center.

Founded on the philosophy of empowering women to take charge of their health, Kapi‘olani Women's Centers have been helping women to take good care of themselves and their families for years. Through the Women's Centers, clients receive health screenings, diagnostic tests and treatment services at our two convenient locations in Honolulu and Aiea. Kapi‘olani Women’s Centers are the only O‘ahu facilities to be named Breast Imaging Centers of Excellence by the American College of Radiology. The Centers rank among the top five percent in the nation. Other areas of health care at the Women’s Center include: bone health and osteoporosis, menopause, ultrasound, women’s counseling and coaching, aesthetics, massage, acupuncture and various educational classes geared toward healthy living.

As a Mammography Technologist II, you will help to provide quality diagnostic services and care for our women patients. Your responsibilities include performing screening and diagnostic mammographic procedures for evaluation by a physician. We are looking for someone meticulous and dedicated, with a solid understanding of technical and imaging procedure, excellent communication and patient care skills and a commitment to creating a healthier Hawai‘i.

Minimum Qualifications: Must meet education requirements for Hawaii state licensing. Current Hawai‘i Radiologic Technologist license. Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR card. Registered Mammography Technologist (M) with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT), or must obtain within one (1) year of hire. One (1) year Radiology Technologist experience.

Preferred Qualifications: Registered Radiologic Technologist (R) and Breast Sonography (BS) with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT). One (1) year Mammography Technologist experience. One (1) year Clinical Sonography experience.

Rate of pay for selected candidates will be determined by various factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, relevant experience and training, as well as internal peer equity.

Starting Hourly Rate: 50.54
