Job Title: Industrial Hygiene Technician

Job Description

A full-time position is available for an Industrial Hygiene Technician in our Honolulu office. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting investigations of working conditions with a focus on the prevention of occupational diseases and industrial health hazards. Your role will involve special studies and monitoring programs to determine environmental conditions. Other duties include the interpretation and application of federal and state regulations related to environmental site investigations, assessing environments for exposure to pollutants and hazardous materials, and preparation of detailed written reports and plans.

Hard Skills

  • Interpretation and application of environmental regulations

  • Experience with environmental site assessments

  • Experience in assessing exposure to hazardous materials

  • Experience with CAD, GIS or other software

  • Preparation of technical reports

  • DOH/EPA Lead Inspection Certification or DOH/EPA Asbestos Certification

Soft Skills

  • Strong research abilities

  • Effective communication skills

  • Ability to work in diverse locations under challenging conditions

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Honolulu, Hawaii.

Work Environment

This position requires site visits to a variety of locations, including residences, schools, construction sites, commercial/industrial facilities, and chemically-contaminated sites. The working schedule is Monday to Friday, 7-4pm with a 1-hour lunch break or 8am-5pm (1hr lunch). A valid driver’s license is required and a company vehicle will be provided for use during work hours.
