Hilton Waikiki Beach Director of Housekeeping in Honolulu, Hawaii

Salary Range: $90K - $100K/year

Are you able to work well in a team and motivate others to sustain exceptional levels of performance? Hilton Waikiki Beach is looking for a Director of Housekeeping to join our team. This leader provides First Choice Service by leading and holding responsibility for the operations of the Housekeeping department. Ensures housekeeping and laundry team member engagement. Develops and implements strategies and services which meet the needs of owners, team members, and guests. Directs the Hotel’s housekeeping program to ensure clean, orderly, and attractive conditions of our hotel.

Work Hours:

May be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel. This includes day/and or evening shifts, both weekdays, weekends, and holidays if necessary.

Language Skills:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.

Computer Skills/Experience:

Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook), Hotel Rooms Control System (OnQ), Payroll and Purchasing systems.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Abbreviated Overview):

  • Participates in the development of business strategies for the rooms division which are aligned with the overall objectives of the hotel.

  • Develops and implements strategies and practices which support employee engagement.

  • Involved with full-cycle team member life cycle including but not limited to: recruiting, training, scheduling, performance reviews, disciplinary action, etc.

  • Creates 100% guest satisfaction by providing team members with the training and resources they need to maximize team member’s engagement and building positive morale to deliver “Make It Right” service and teamwork

  • All other duties as assigned.

  • Driver's License (valid)

Experience

Required

  • 3 years: Experience in a similar capacity

Preferred

  • Prior hotel housekeeping management experience in 400-700 room properties, preferred
