Description

We are on the hunt for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team located in Honolulu, Hawaii. In this role, you will be expected to handle various accounting tasks, primarily focusing on managing and processing invoices, reconciling accounts, and maintaining accurate records. Responsibilities:

• Input data of approved invoices with precision

• Conduct reconciliation of vendor invoices and resolve any discrepancies found

• Check and verify invoices for accuracy to ensure all entries are correct

• Assign appropriate codes to invoices to properly categorize them

• Scan and maintain invoice records in the system for easy reference

• Assist in the process of mailing out checks to vendors

• Participate in the month-end closing process to ensure all financial data is accounted for

• Manage reconciliation of vendor statements to maintain accurate financial records

• Perform other accounting duties as assigned to support the overall function of the team

• Utilize Microsoft Excel and other accounting software systems to perform tasks efficiently

  Requirements

Qualifications:

• Proficiency in Account Coding and Accounting Functions

• Solid understanding of Accounts Payable (AP)

• Experience with Month End Close processes

• Strong Account Reconciliation skills

• Ability to handle Vendor Statements accurately and efficiently

• Proficient in using Accounting Software Systems

• Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Excel

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• High level of integrity and reliability

• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred
