Job Overview
Kelly Services is hiring for our client in Honolulu! We are currently seeking a responsible, organized, and detail-oriented individual to join their Accounting department as an Accounting Clerk. This is a full-time hourly position with excellent benefits (waiting period may apply), and the individual will be based at the corporate office in Honolulu, Oahu.
Essential Job Functions
Provide accounting and clerical support to the accounting department
Prepare and maintain accounting documents and records
Reconcile accounts in a timely manner
Data entry of financial transactions into the general ledger
Research issues and discrepancies
Follow established standards, procedures, and applicable laws
Prepare reports and summaries of financial data
Ensure completeness and accuracy of data
Skills/Abilities
Proven accounting experience, preferably as an accounting clerk
Familiarity with basic accounting procedures
Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and financial reports
Accuracy and attention to detail
Data entry and word processing skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work under time constraints with minimal supervision
Qualifications
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting is a plus
Minimum of 2 years of business/accounting experience required
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, with a focus on Excel
10-key by touch required
Physical Requirements
Regularly required to sit
Use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear
Frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds; occasionally carry up to 25 pounds
