Job Description

We now have opportunities for Quantity Surveyors to join AECOM where you will be seconded out to the Hong Kong Airport Authority to assist on the tender preparation and contract execution of the existing infrastructure and terminal facilities enhancement works or new capital works projects. You will help to ensure projects are delivered smoothly, in compliance with the contract requirements and within budgets.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible to prepare contract documentations, estimates, tender, monitoring and resolving of all the contractual matters of the projects;

  • Liaison with contractors and consultants;

  • Assess and monitor the contract costs;

  • Monitor the materials and works on sites;

  • Assessment of Variation Orders and Claims in costs and delays;

  • Mainly serve Civil/Structural Team;

  • Prepare tender document including pricing document and measurement for work / minor works contracts;

  • General post-contract administration including payment, VO assessment, EOT assessment, final account settlement, etc;

  • Final account vetting and assessment of Star Rates for instruction base maintenance contract.

Qualifications

The Quantity Surveyor shall be:

  • A corporate member of a recognized professional institute; OR

  • A holder of a recognized degree in quantity surveying or construction cost management or engineering or other related disciplines, with a minimum of 4 years of relevant working experience; OR

  • A holder of diploma in quantity surveying or construction cost management or engineering or other related disciplines, , with a minimum of 8 years of relevant working experience.

  • A competitive salary with a 5-day work week will be offered with the opportunity to jump straight onto a live project at the Hong Kong Airport. This appointment will be made on a renewable contract basis.
