Summary
Material Quote Lead dedicated to PCI. The successful candidate will develop and manage a team of quote analysts to obtain material costs in support of new business for PCI.
Detailed Description
Overall material quote Lead dedicated to PCI
Mentor, identify talent gaps and continuously work to strengthen PCI material quote team
Support RFQs for standalone PCI business
Work independently, result oriented, confident to raise issues, provide comments and suggestions to improve processes, aligning with Celestica best practices as appropriate
Provides direction for source selection
Provides leadership for New Business Sourcing Strategy deployment
Quotes and negotiates critical high dollar or strategic commodities or provide the direction to team.
Provides guidance, leadership and direction with respect to interaction with suppliers
Excellent Supplier Relationship Management skills
Strong understanding of EMS Suppliers, and respective Distribution network
Leads process development and development of supplier engagement strategies
Knowledge/Skills/Competencies
Supply Chain experience within Celestica, including relationships with members of commodity management, strategic sourcing, GSCS, etc. considered an asset
Expert knowledge of the marketplace conditions for a broad range of strategic commodities, industry pricing, technology, supply/demand and emerging trends
Experience with mechanical build to print commodities considered an asset
Excellent understanding of global business environment and Customers business, organization, products and processes
Ability to lead complex negotiations effectively
Expert knowledge of office systems and analytical tools
Expert problem solving skills to deal with Customer/ Supplier issues
Ability to evaluate, prioritize and problem solve a variety of tasks to ensure their timely and accurate completion
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with a wide variety of internal and external customers
Proficiency in Mandarin is considered an asset
Demonstrated ability to work effectively across functions and with suppliers/ customers to achieve PCI and Celestica’s goals
Physical Demands
Duties of this position are performed in a normal office environment
Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data
Repetitive manual movements (e.g., data entry, using a computer mouse, using a calculator, etc.) are frequently required
Travel may be required
Typical Experience
8-10 years of relevant experience
Typical Education
Bachelors degree in relevant field (i.e Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain & Operations, Business etc.)
Certification in Supply Chain considered an asset
