Hyatt Regional Vice President, Loyalty & Partnership, Asia Pacific in HONG KONG, China

Description:

The Regional VP, Loyalty & Partnership, Asia Pacific, will be responsible for developing and driving the loyalty and partnership strategy across the ASPAC region, which include three sub-regions – Greater China, North & Southeast Asia and Pacific, and Southwest Asia. Properties include both Full Service and Select Service.

The RVP will define the loyalty strategy for the region, driving World of Hyatt awareness, member acquisition and loyalty room nights into ASPAC, enhancing the value proposition of Hyatt to owners and key stakeholders. The RVP will foster a data-driven approach to loyalty management and partnerships, utilizing insights and analytics to optimize the loyalty program, drive revenue growth, room night penetration and membership growth. The role will have loyalty budgetary control on behalf of the ASPAC region, and to exercise a fair and transparent approach in resources allocations across the three sub-regions.

The RVP will also be responsible for developing and managing external World of Hyatt partners. Types of partnerships include but not limited to financial, airlines, wellbeing or other verticals. The role will lead all aspects of the partnership relationships to drive business case development, member acquisition, engagement, direct bookings, on-property rollout, colleague benefits and marketing.

This leadership position will be the key point of contact for owners, Development team, as well as global and regional stakeholders for loyalty and partnership related matters. The role is responsible for building advocacy for the program within the ASPAC hubs and hotels.

The role will manage 1x Director of Loyalty Marketing, ASPAC as a direct report, and 1x indirect leadership to the Director Digital & Loyalty, Greater China. 3x additional sub-regional loyalty leads have a dotted reporting line to the Director of Loyalty Marketing, ASPAC. This role will have a dotted reporting line to Global VP World of Hyatt Operations & Analytics in the US.

In this leadership role, you will inspire and guide a small but dynamic team towards achieving a bold vision for Loyalty & Partnership in ASPAC, fostering cross-functional collaborations and innovations to drive impactful results. Proactively developing the skills and capabilities of internal talent is a priority for cultivating a high-performing team and building long-term organizational success.

Due to the complexity of the region, this position requires an understanding of the varying sub-regional priorities and diversity in relation to cultural, linguistic, and booking channel nuances. With the additional responsibility to liaise with team members across 3 sub-regions: Greater China, North Southeast Asia & Pacific, and Southwest Asia.

• RVP Loyalty will have responsibility for driving and implementing the strategic Loyalty (70%) and Partnerships (30%) priorities, and budgetary control for ASPAC (inclusive of 3x sub-regions).

• Serve as the World of Hyatt lead for ASPAC region – driving loyalty performance for owners, customers, colleagues and other key stakeholders.

• Work cross-functionally with Operations, Development, Marketing and other internal departments, responsible for creating business opportunities across 3 sub-regions, with an understanding of the complexity and diversity of the ASPAC region (language, culture, booking channels etc.)

• Responsible for developing and managing external World of Hyatt partners that is in line with the global partnership strategies. Types of partnerships include but not limited to financial, wellbeing, and airline partnerships. The role will cultivate partnership relationships, develop business cases and ongoing strategies that drive value of the partnerships in strategic markets.

• Responsible for driving hotel-level Enrollment Success Rate and activation goals - leading to improved loyalty room night penetration. Be the champion in the region and advocate the value of joining the program, providing additional tools and resources and improving RVP and property leadership engagement.

• Build the data story through member data analysis and market trends to inform decision-making, measure program and partnership performance, and identify opportunities for growth. .

• Responsible for communicating World of Hyatt program value to owners and other external/internal key stakeholders, to drive an internal loyalty culture and program advocacy.

• Responsible for supporting the communication of new programs or changes and updates to the field and ensuring that it is updated in all communication channels and understood by all stakeholders.

• Engages, inspires and galvanizes the ASPAC organization around loyalty program and brand value through data-driven learnings and sharing best practices

• Actively collaborate with other ASPAC leaders to address hotel, market and regional needs to drive loyalty metrics

• Responsible for driving World oh Hyatt room night penetration and membership growth across ASPAC region

Qualifications:

• A minimum of ten (15) years relevant professional experience in loyalty and partnerships management role

• A dynamic leader with a proven track record of evaluating, identifying and executing against strategic opportunities

• Strong leadership, problem-solving and collaboration skills

• Strong quantitative and analytical background with attention to detail

• Proven ability to lead within a matrixed organization

• Superior written and oral presentation skills

• Preferred: Previous loyalty and co-brand card experience a plus

• Ability to travel up to 20% of the time
