Description:

Hyatt seeks a Global sales Manager, Hong Kong & Macau, focusing on global business growth. It will manage MICE segments, oversee tradeshows, explore new business, and provide strategic direction to the sales team to boost revenue and expand market presence.

The Opportunity

We're seeking for a Global Sales Manager to drive MICE sales. You'll manage key accounts, plan & execute sales strategies, and expand our presence in key international markets. Also, manage MICE tradeshows, prospect for new business, and provide strategic direction to the sales team. This role reports to the Head of Hyatt Sales Force, North & Southeast Asia.

Requirements:

• Create a culture of success for ongoing business and goal achievement

• Lead the development of sales strategies for Hong Kong & Macau that contribute to Hyatt strategic vision and positioning in the market

• Continuously analyze and evaluate key markets, vertical segments and seller performance to ensure deployment strategy maximizes revenue opportunities, sellers are incentivized appropriately, and that we have the key results necessary to drive further innovation and sales growth

• Build and develop relationships, representing the organization with key distributors and customers

• Develop strong business relationships with the key internal business partners to understand and deliver on their needs, as well as drive their engagement with our sales strategies, tools and systems

• Oversee the evaluation and development of core sales systems and processes to ensure technology is being used as a strategic enabler to drive revenue

• Working with each direct report in creating strategic road maps for each of their accounts

• Joining Sales colleagues on customer interactions, sales calls and business reviews

• Participation in key MICE Tradeshows & annual Hyatt Fairs

• Prepare and control Hyatt Sales Force expenses and ensure it is line with budget

• Strong adherence to Global Privacy

• Create and sustain a work environment that focus on fair and equitable treatment and associate satisfaction to enable business success.

• Develop a trusting and respectful business partnership with each property’s ownership by meeting or exceeding expectations in sales and marketing.

• Identify necessary training needs and assist in appropriate training programs for subordinates, taking an active interest in subordinates’ development and welfare.

• Maintain a good working relationship with all employees, as part of Hyatt International's objective of ensuring that all employees provide a courteous and professional service at-all-times to colleagues and guests.

Qualifications:

Experience

• 5 years’ experience working in hotels sales function. Global sales experience in Hong Kong is strongly preferred.

• Strong Sales (MICE) background – previous Associate Director of Sales at a property is preferred.

• Organizing & Administering - works collaboratively – excellent manager of 3rd party and internal resources to achieve a collective goal. Can rally resources (people, funding, support, etc.) to get things done. Monitors and manages timelines effectively.

• Priority Setting - Is able to work in a deadline and performance oriented environment.

• Interpersonal Savvy – relates well to all kinds of people up, down, laterally, inside and outside the organization; builds appropriate rapport, builds constructive and effective relationships; uses diplomacy and tact; can diffuse high-tension situations.

• Drives for Results – has good balance of process and outcomes focus.

• Self-starter/Independent – comfortable to work independently; self starter.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Hotel Management, Business Administrations
