Teaching Staff-All Gade Levels Job Details Job ID:4573951 Starting Date:Immediately Job Description Center School and Springdale Education Center are Full-Year (12 month) private Special Education day schools located in Chicopee MA and Holyoke MA. We serve students from ages 5-22. We are seeking dedicated candidates for Teacher openings at all levels - Elementary, Middle School, High School. We are recruiting for Teachers to fill these openings - Elementary, Life Skills, Middle School ELA, Middle School Science, Middle School Social Studies, Middle School Math, High School Transition, High School Math, High School Science, High School ELA and High School Vocational. Our programs provide a unique and rewarding opportunity to serve students with a wide variety of moderate to severe special needs in many different settings. Activities such as swimming, community outings, field trips, life skills & vocational activities are designed to enrich & enhance the student experience. Teachers serve students by: Providing & instructing age/grade appropriate lesson plans; implement curricular materials in all subjects; Completing & maintaining evaluation records; Completing & maintaining evaluation records; Providing appropriate homework and assigning & correcting student work; Arranging for testing of students as prescribed by IEP & advocating for other testing/service needs; Administering standardized & informal tests appropriate to credentials; Providing input for IEP development & treatment planning; providing rough draft IEP for Team meetings with input from appropriate service providers; Attending IEP, review & emergency meetings; Requirements: Applicants must have a minimum of a Bachelor?s degree in Education or a related field; a Master?s degree is preferred. Current/Valid Massachusetts DESE certification is required Prior experience working with students with moderate to severe special needs is strongly preferred. All candidates who have been given an offer of employment will be subject to screening through the following agencies: CORI, SORI, DCF, SAFIS (Fingerprinting)
