Teacher Assistant Teacher Assistant Teacher\'s Assistant provides academic support and behavior modification approaches in a highly structured alternative school. In a small class setting, the teacher assistant will support the teacher in addressing the academic and emotional/behavioral needs of the students as set forth in their Individual Education Plan (IEP). Prepare lesson plans, tutoring students one-on-one or in groups, taking attendance and monitoring student progress. Demonstrate an understanding and commitment to the mission of the organization and its goals and adhere to the policies and regulations of the agency Schedule This is a twelve-month position, year round. Monday shift, 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. and Tuesday - Friday shifts, 8 a.m. - 3 p.m. Full time Western MA The Mill Pond Schools, with locations in Springfield and the Berkshires, serve students-kindergarten through age 22-who have social-emotional and/or behavioral challenges, a learning disability, or who may have a diagnosis of high-functioning Autism.
