Plains Ag/Central Plains Equipment, an employee-owned, certified Case IH dealer in Holyoke, CO, is currently accepting applications for a General Shop This position will provide assistance to help Service Department employees run an efficient and customer oriented department. Responsibilities include: *Reviewing of the work order for each tractor or trailer prior to beginning any work. *Ensure equipment is cleaner than when customer dropped it off. *Scrub, scrape, or spray machine parts, equipment, or vehicles, using scrapers, brushes, clothes, cleaners, disinfectants, insecticides, acid, abrasives, vacuums, or hoses. *Clean and polish vehicle windows. *Apply polishes, re-conditioners, waxes, or masking materials to vehicles to preserve, protect, or restore color or condition. *Insure proper storing of cleaning materials. *Clean wash bay/work area. *Clean and maintain appearance of general facilities. *Assist Technicians or other dealership personnel, when asked. *Run parts as needed. *Other on-site duties as assigned.

Physical demands and requirements: *Frequently required to stand, bend, stoop, crouch, reach, handle tools, and physical dexterity. *Ability to lift/carry up to 60 lbs. unassisted *Ability to manage different environmental smells. *Ability to remain on your feet for up to 10 hours a day. *Ability to handle the noise level in the work environment as it is usually loud. *Requires the use of both hands.

Working Conditions: *Frequently works near moving mechanical parts. *Is potentially exposed to battery acid, gasoline, chemical cleaning materials or other toxic materials commonly found in a farming equipment Service Department. *Occasionally, exposed to exhaust fumes or other airborne particles

Education/training requirements: *Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. *The ability to greet external customers immediately, in a courteous and friendly manner. *Read, understand and follow all safety requirements when using tools and chemicals and performing work in the shop. *Experience in detailing, warehousing, or similar fast-paced environments requiring teamwork preferred.
