Description

We are currently staffing for our client out of the Red Bank area for a Fixed Asset Accountant. This role will be responsible for handling the fixed asset subledger and tying it out to the main GL. If you have a passion for fixed asset accounting, this is a great opportunity to hit the ground running and grow throughout a large organization.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the fixed asset subledger

• Regularly reconcile the fixed asset subledger with the General Ledger

• Ensure accurate recording of journal entries related to fixed assets

• Assist in the month-end close process, with a focus on fixed assets

• Conduct thorough review and analysis of the General Ledger

• Manage and resolve any discrepancies or issues identified in the fixed asset ledger

• Maintain up-to-date fixed asset records for auditing purposes

• Participate in the continuous improvement of accounting processes related to fixed assets

Requirements

• Possess a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.

• Have a minimum of 2 years of experience in retail accounting or similar role.

• Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.

• Familiarity with Fixed Asset Accounting, General Ledger, and Journal Entries.

• Ability to perform Month End Close tasks accurately and promptly.
