Description

We are recruiting for a Staff Accountant role based in Hollywood, California. The chosen candidate will play a critical role in our entertainment company, primarily focusing on data entry, accounts payable management, royalties, and reconciliations. This role will also require expertise in utilizing Accumatica and Shopify software. This is a hybrid role with 2-3 days WFH!

Responsibilities:

• Undertake the task of data entry and maintain records with accuracy

• Manage the accounts payable process to ensure timely and accurate payment of invoices

• Handle royalty payments and ensure that they are correctly calculated and disbursed

• Perform reconciliations of bank statements and financial accounts

• Utilize Accumatica and Shopify software for various accounting tasks

• Prepare journal entries and maintain the general ledger

• Manage accounts receivable to ensure timely and accurate receipt of payments

• Maintain a thorough record of business transactions and verify that they are correctly classified in the company's accounting system

• Assist in other accounting duties as needed.

Requirements • Possession of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field

• At least one year of experience in an accounting role

• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Solid understanding and experience with bank reconciliations

• Familiarity with General Ledger management

• Experience with creating and maintaining Journal Entries

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel

• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
