Position: Software Engineer IIIJob Location: 221 River Street, Hoboken, NJ 07030Duties: Design, build, and deploy software for distributed microservices with specific business logic to production with continuous integration frameworks and event driven frameworks. Develop and deploy software tools and user interfaces using JS, React and state management tools, and metric monitoring processes to address production issues and operation cost. Design, optimization and query performance improvement for SQL databases. Develop service-level and business-level metrics to monitor microservices and product flow. Perform accurate documentation and maintenance of software functionality. Confer with product managers, project managers, and engineers to design large-scale distributed system and to obtain information on project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements, and interfaces. Modify existing software and services to correct errors, adapt to new demands, or improve its performance. Apply advanced knowledge of professional software engineering practices and best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations. Develop and direct distributed software systems testing and validation procedures, programming, and documentation. Design, develop, and manage high throughput, low latency distributed software applications.Minimum education and experience required: Master’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering (any), or a related field. Position does not require specific years of experience but requires listed skills.Skills required: Experience designing, building, and deploying distributed microservices and REST APIs with Java. Experience developing user interface (UI) and software tools with JS, React, and state management libraries. Experience compiling and bundling with Babel, CoreJS, Webpack, and Nginx. Experience with Test Driven Development using Jest and Enzyme. Experience designing, optimizing, and querying performance improvement for SQL databases. Experience developing service-level and business-level metrics to monitor microservices with Telemetry. Experience building CI/CD pipelines using Git. Experience packaging applications using docker and deployment using KITT and Kubernetes. Experience maintaining version control with Git and apply software development lifecycles best practices to create, modify, and enhance software applications. Experience creating detailed documentation of process and implementation using Confluence. Experience conferring with product/project managers and engineers to design and establish requirements and limitations. Experience working with a user experience team to create mockups.
