Abbott Product Manager - Vascular in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam

Main Purpose of Job

  • Promote and sells the company’s products to established customers (physicians, cath labs, hospitals) and to develop new customers.

  • Responsible for the achievement of sales target, market share and/or profit objectives of a specified territory or product. Promotes and establishes physician and account education of the company’s products and/or services.

  • Works with sales manager to set targets for individuals accounts and/or products and monitors outcome monthly. Work on strategic plans to increase team’s product and clinical competency.

  • Support peers in marketing activities (workshop/proctorship program/CME talks).

  • Have in-depth experience in the intervention industry with good product, technical and medical knowledge.

  • Support and cover accounts as deemed by sales manager.

  • Works under general direction to sales manager, but expected to operate independently, think strategically and support coaching with junior staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • To ensure achievement of specified country/product/account targets.

  • To increase users and drive usage to meet country total sales targets.

  • Responsible for RCE and PCIO capital sales.

  • Provide project support for other countries in SEA and discover proctorship opportunities and drive them.

  • Make regular sales calls to related HCP to promote AV products.

  • Conduct WEBEX training on tips and tricks for wider teams in country of origin or beyond.

  • Provide HCPs with detailed product information, technical specifications, and latest clinical data.

  • Maintain close professional relationship with Key Accounts and HCPs.

  • Develop and implement effective sales plans and messages to promote and increase market share of products.

  • Plan and review sales strategies and promotion activities to HCP e.g. Teaching programs, presentations.

  • Provide monthly and ad hoc reports in timely manner e.g. Customer details, track usages, sales and MS%, HCP feedback, market, and competitive information etc.

  • Keep abreast of market and competitors’ activities and keep the company updated.

  • Keep up to date on latest clinical data and complete all required trainings.

  • Provide and assist HCP if required, in related presentations.

  • Support/mentor peers (junior sales colleagues) on PCIO/CT or Endo products.

  • Keep up to date on latest clinical data and complete all required trainings.

  • Other relevant tasks may be assigned from time to time.

Education Required

  • Bachelor’s degree with > 3 years of relevant experience.

  • Sales experience in hospital environment, preferably within the interventional market/products or medical device experience.

  • Experience gained in multinational medical device companies will be an advantage.

Skills and Experience

  • Relevant product knowledge.

  • Proficient computer skills for Abbott field reporting data system, and handling of necessary correspondence and spreadsheets.

  • Ability to put together territory/country/key account business plans.

  • Numerical ability.

  • Teamwork/collaboration, adaptability.

  • Customer Focus.

  • Planning and organizing.

  • Excellent spoken and written English and local language.
